Jesus healed a blind beggar called Bartimaeus

Bartimaeus was blind. He made a living by begging people. He begged for money, food, clothes, and anything they were willing and kind enough to give to him.

He lived in a city called Jericho and sat by the roadside every day. One day Jesus came to Jericho and did many miracles, A huge crowd of people followed Jesus as He left the city.

The crowd was loud, noisy, and exuberant. Bartimaeus asked people what was happening.

When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say,

“Jesus, of David, have mercy on me!”

As they were going away, a man who could not talk and was demon-possessed was brought to Jesus. – Slide 5

“Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.”

Bartimaeus threw off his cloak, sprang to his feet, and came to Jesus.

Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?”

The blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”

Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.”

Bartimaeus immediately recovered his sight and followed him on the way.- Mark 10: 46 – 52.
